Job summary

Finnair is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Intelligent Operations, to own cross-cutting technical direction across the Intelligent Operations tribe. Based at our HQ near Helsinki Airport, you will set architecture, guide AI-assisted development, and drive secure, scalable cloud-native solutions in AWS.

You will lead engineering practices with autonomy, review designs, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development and leadership experience.
• Proven track record building cloud-native AWS-based systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and planning.
• Experience coaching or leading engineering teams.
• Experience in secure software development and architecture.
• Product mindset and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Set technical and architectural direction for the tribe's backend services.
• Lead cross-team architectural discussions and ensure coherence.
• Review designs and contribute to complex technical decisions.
