Job description

What it’s all about

Staria’s BI & Planning solutions help companies turn complex business data into clear insights and smarter decisions. The product you’ll be working on, Naviloq, is our modern BI & Planning platform designed to handle large, diverse datasets and transform them into meaningful, actionable information.

You’ll join a tight‑knit product development team of seven developers, including two software architects, working closely with a Scrum Master / QA Lead and Product Owners. The team also collaborates actively with our service organization, whose customer insights influence what we build next. Together, you’ll evolve a platform that continues to grow in performance, capability, and impact for customers across multiple industries and countries.

How you’ll make a difference

As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll take an active role in shaping the data engine behind Naviloq. Your main focus will be on database design and development – ensuring that the platform can process large, complex datasets efficiently and reliably as it continues to grow.

You’ll work across the full lifecycle of new features, from early technical discussions and architectural decisions to implementation, optimization, and long‑term maintenance. This role gives you both ownership and influence – especially in the areas where data modelling, performance, and scalability intersect.

In practice, you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database solutions that power the Naviloq platform, with a strong focus on functionality, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop new product features together with the team, taking responsibility for the database layer.
  • Work with large and complex datasets, ensuring that data processing and queries are optimized for performance.
  • Contribute to feature planning and technical design, providing effort estimates and input during sprint planning and prioritization discussions.
  • Take ownership of components or features that align with your expertise and interests, becoming the go‑to expert for the areas where you bring the most value.
  • Investigate and resolve bugs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the system continues to operate smoothly as it evolves.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning, helping the team maintain high engineering standards.
Your everyday at Staria

Staria’s hybrid work model offers the best of both worlds: modern office in the heart of Helsinki, combined with the flexibility to work remotely. To ensure smooth collaboration with your team and stakeholders, we hope you’re able to spend a few days per week at the office on average.

The salary typically falls within the range of €6000–7000/month depending on experience, skills, and the scope of the role. The holiday bonus is distributed evenly across your monthly pay, so it’s part of your regular salary.
