Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Espoo, Finland, seeks a senior supply chain leader to own the Nordic operational model, drive efficiency, and translate improvements into measurable results.

You will lead a five-person supply chain and customer service team, enhance delivery reliability, manage warehousing and transport costs, and navigate contracts, tenders and RFQs with strong analytics and stakeholder management across functions and countries.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar with several years of experience.
• Experience leading and developing people.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and transportation processes and cost structures.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities

• Developing the Nordic Supply Chain:
  • Take ownership of the Nordic supply chain operational model and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service.
  • Ensure that improvements are translated into measurable results.
  • Use data and analysis to identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Improving customer service and delivery reliability:
  • Improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse root causes behind service failures and lead corrective actions.
• Managing costs and improving transparency:
  • Take ownership of warehouse and transportation cost development.
  • Lead cost optimisation initiatives and ensure that savings are sustainable.
  • Lead contract negotiations, tenders and RFQ processes.
• Developing the team:
  • Lead, coach and develop a five-person supply chain and customer service team.

Qualifications:

You are likely to succeed in this role if you have:

• Preferably Master’s of Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar and several years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
• Experience leading and developing people.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and transportation processes and cost structures.
• Experience with logistics contracts, negotiations, tenders or RFQs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes rather than simply solve individual operational issues.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions and countries.
• A structured and pragmatic approach to turning strategy into action. Readiness to handle day-to-day operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Other Nordic languages are considered an advantage.
