Job summary

IQM Finland Oy in Espoo, Finland, invites a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. You will install, maintain, and upgrade production systems on quantum computers, providing Tier 2/3 support and guiding customers through software installations and basic quantum circuit runs.

You will work with Linux environments, Docker containers, and Python, ensuring smooth operation and automation across our software stack while communicating clearly with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software solution architecture or Linux admin experience.
• Hands-on Linux and Docker experience.
• Proficient Python with virtual environments.
• Excellent communication with customers and internal teams.
• Experience maintaining live production systems.
• Familiarity with Git and GitLab.
• Experience in software automation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to translate customer needs to internal architecture.
• English language fluency.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support after initial triage.
• Navigate and use our full stack quantum computing software.
• Replicate customer issues to understand problems.
• Perform advanced log-based troubleshooting.
• Communicate with customers via ticketing system.
• Guide customers on installation and upgrade processes and run simple quantum circuits.
• Act as system administrator for the Quantum Computer software stack.
• Interface with internal experts for complex analyses.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on quantum computing software.
• Focus on automation to improve existing processes.
