Job summary

Neste in Porvoo is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Renewable Processes to lead technology development and refinery support projects tied to NEXBTL HVO. You will partner with production stakeholders, engineering, and R&D to align targets, manage scope, and drive business value.

The role requires an MSc/DS in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in process design or production, and hands-on knowledge of renewable feedstock pretreatment or HVO technologies. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in process design, development, or production within refining, biorefining or chemicals.
• Proven project management experience in technology development or R&D.
• Hands-on knowledge of renewable feedstock pretreatment or HVO technologies.
• Excellent organizing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Scope technology development or refinery support projects with steering manager and subject matter experts.
• Manage projects safely within scope, schedule, budget, and quality using the Neste operating model.
• Control and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Report project progress and performance transparently according to established principles.
• Validate results to deliver high-quality outcomes with clear business value.
• Drive concrete improvement proposals to add value to production and support business decision-making.
• Reserve competent resources, lead team members, build team spirit, and coach technical experts.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise and continuously refine project practices.
