Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to help design for manufacturability and drive assembly processes for consumer electronics in Finland. You will collaborate with R&D, factories and external suppliers to ensure manufacturability and timely ramp-up of prototypes.

The role emphasizes developing assembly and material handling processes, molding and gluing, and creating SOPs. Strong English and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in consumer electronics manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience with DFx/DFM and tooling design.
• Knowledge of manufacturing parameters and SPC.
• Ability to write SOPs and work instructions.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge to product design for manufacturing, assembly process, and tooling.
• Develop and deploy assembly and material handling processes with external partners and internal teams.
• Develop gluing process performance from a quality and throughput perspective.
• Plan activities at the interface of R&D programs and factories, ensuring manufacturing readiness.
• Assess manufacturing methods from a quality viewpoint and support contract manufacturers.
• Document processes for manufacturing.
