Job summary

Navartis Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead programming and project controls for large-scale data centre projects in Vaasa, Finland. You will own schedules, monitor progress and present reviews to senior management, working closely with clients and subcontractors on-site.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with BIM and scheduling tools (Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6) preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• Min. 5 years in construction, preferably with a main contractor.
• Experience with scheduling software and BIM (Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop bid programmes to support and complement bid submissions.
• Develop, maintain and review detailed master construction programmes and project controls procedures for live projects.
• Create and sustain schedules for pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases, keeping progress reporting up to date.
• Prepare and present progress reviews to senior management.
• Represent Planning in client and subcontractor meetings.
• Lead, mentor and motivate a team of engineers.
• Manage relationships with existing clients and build long-term partnerships.
• Support business development activity with new clients.

Senior Planner - Data Centre Construction

Location: Vaasa, Finland (On-site)
Job type: Permanent, full-time

The role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their team. You will take full ownership of programming and project controls across live, large-scale data centre projects, and act as the Planning representative in client and subcontractor meetings. This is a role with real influence, where your programmes will be read, challenged and acted on at senior level.

Key responsibilities

• Develop bid programmes to support and complement bid submissions
• Develop, maintain and review detailed master construction programmes and project controls procedures for live projects
• Create and sustain schedules for the pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases, keeping progress reporting up to date
• Prepare and present progress reviews to senior management
• Represent Planning in client and subcontractor meetings
• Liaise with stakeholders to review project progress, supporting risk identification and proactive problem solving
• Lead, mentor and motivate a team of ambitious engineers
• Manage relationships with existing clients and build long-term partnerships
• Support business development activity with new clients
• Take full responsibility for your own projects, and support colleagues on other projects as required

Skills and experience

• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor
• Experience with programming software and BIM, with Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6 preferred
• Proactive, results-driven and comfortable working with autonomy
• A strong team player with demonstrable experience in large-scale environments
