Job summary

A leading data centre solutions provider is seeking a Planner to join their team in Espoo, Finland. The successful candidate will manage construction programmes, communicate effectively with clients, and oversee projects. Qualifications include a degree in Engineering or Construction Management and over four years of relevant industry experience. Qualifications

Job description

Winthrop specialises in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

We have positions available across two 170MW data centre sites currently under construction in the Helsinki region (Espoo & Kirkkonummi) and we are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Planner to join our team.

Below is a list of key responsibilities but is not exclusive of all duties that are required to be carried out during the project.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid programmes to support and compliment bid submissions
• Develop, maintain and review detailed master construction programmes and project controls procedures for live projects
• Prepare and present progress reviews to senior management
• Account management of existing clients, building long term partnerships
• Business development activities with new clients
• Complete responsibility for your project and may assists others in projects as the need arises
• Liaise with stakeholders to review progress of projects, supporting risk identification and proactive problem solving
• Create and sustain schedules for the pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases, whilst keeping progress reporting up to date
• Establish project schedule resource requirements
• Develop and Communicate tools for the target completion of project goals
• Provides performance updates / reports views for identification of variances and corrective action
• You will be the Planning representative in Client & Subcontractor meetings

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering / Construction Management required
• 4+ years relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably main contractor experience
• Substantial experience, across a wide range of engineering projects, preferably data centres, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters
• An appreciation of BIM / digital construction tools and workflows
• A clear ability for logical thinking and working in an ordered fashion
• An understanding of programming techniques
• A sound knowledge of typical production rates
• The ability to communicate effectively
• Be able to use P6 and an understanding of the planning process
• The ability to work to defined, often challenging, timescales
• Experienced in programming software and BIM - Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6 preferred
