Job summary

Elekta AB is seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer to advance oncology imaging and treatment solutions. You will solve complex medical imaging challenges and translate research into product-ready innovations, collaborating with researchers and software engineers across functions to support Elekta's roadmap.

You will apply machine learning and high-performance software development to 2D, 3D and 4D imaging, contributing to precise, personalized cancer care and to the evaluation of new clinical

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of medical imaging, ML and computer vision in healthcare or regulated environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++ with Visual Studio.
• Experience with ITK/VTK, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• GPU-based image processing using CUDA.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for complex medical imaging challenges in oncology, including registration and segmentation.
• Design and evaluate research prototypes for Elekta products and clinical workflows.
• Apply ML and numerical optimization to 2D/3D/4D imaging problems.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers and product stakeholders on designs.
• Develop high-performance software in Python, C++, CUDA.
• Engage with external partners on evaluations and co-development.
• Contribute to testing, validation, documentation, white papers and presentations.
• Stay current with scientific developments and contribute to IP activities.
