Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver innovative software solutions for healthcare technology. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, build integrations and APIs, and work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

You will expand technical expertise, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and grow within a global healthcare technology organization located in Helsinki.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and microservice-based applications using Python or C# (.NET Core).
• Experience developing modern web applications, including SPA with TypeScript and Angular.
• Good understanding of SQL databases, test automation, and software quality practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native technologies, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable products, services, and solutions.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and participate in architecture discussions within the team.
• Ensure software quality through documentation, risk analysis, and testing support.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests to support reliable software delivery.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with engineering teams to coordinate dependencies and contribute to engineering best practices.

As a Software Engineer at Elekta, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering innovative software solutions that support life-changing healthcare technology. • Experience developing modern web applications, including Single Page Applications (SPA) using TypeScript and Angular, is desirable.
• Good understanding of SQL databases, test automation, and software quality best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native technologies, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and continuous learning mindset.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
