GE HealthCare Helsinki is seeking an enthusiastic Algorithm Developer to advance patient monitoring software by designing, implementing, and maintaining algorithms for vital signs monitoring, data analytics, and AI/ML applications.

You will collaborate with clinicians, algorithm and software developers, system engineers and product managers across the full lifecycle, ensuring regulatory documentation and rigorous testing.

Qualifications

  • MSc degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience in algorithm development, data analysis, signal processing or AI/ML.
  • Experience with Python and/or Matlab for development and analysis.
  • Programming skills in C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience using AI development tools for data analysis, software development and testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Job Description Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Algorithm Developer to further enhance our patient monitoring software. You will work with physiological signal processing, data analytics, and algorithm development to improve monitoring performance and help bring innovative healthcare technologies to market. This position is based in Helsinki and offers the opportunity to work with experts across the full product lifecycle, from technology development and clinical validation to commercial products. The position is mainly responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining algorithms and software applications as well as for algorithms and software lifecycle including activities such as data analysis, algorithm performance testing, requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation.

Job Description Responsibilities

  • Basic experience in algorithm development, data analysis, signal processing or AI/ML applications.

  • Hands-on experience using AI development tools for data analysis, software development and testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of pulse oximetry principles, signal processing, algorithm development, and performance evaluation.
  • Familiarity with clinical study data analysis, statistical methods, and power analysis.
  • Knowledge of international standards and EU and FDA regulation related to medical devices and their verification.
