Job summary

Fortum seeks a Senior Expert in Power Plant Chemistry to strengthen the Operations and Maintenance Engineering team. You will influence chemistry functions, programmes and operating arrangements for Fortum's nuclear fleet, new projects and external customers across design, commissioning and long-term operation.

The role covers primary/secondary circuit chemistry, laboratories, sampling, handling of chemicals, inventories, environmental compliance and regulatory requirements, with hybrid work in

Qualifications

• A relevant technical or scientific degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering, environmental engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in nuclear power plant chemistry or related expert assignments.
• Strong understanding of chemistry impacts on safety, corrosion, radiation protection, availability and environmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Support operational readiness by developing chemistry functions and control programmes.
• Define how chemistry activities are organised, resourced and implemented across plant lifecycle.
• Collaborate across Fortum and with external customers, suppliers and partners; travel as required.
