Job summary

Helen Ydinvoima is seeking an experienced Nuclear Technology Manager to lead the Nuclear Energy Program in Helsinki. The role is senior and plant-wide, overseeing technology leadership from concept to operation and coordinating internal and external experts across disciplines.

Initial emphasis on vendor selection and technological solutions, with increasing focus on consistency, quality and meeting design targets throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience within the nuclear power industry.
• Strong background in technical leadership in nuclear projects or operating nuclear facilities.
• Experience integrating multiple engineering disciplines into a coherent plant-level concept.
• Broad understanding of nuclear power plant technologies, systems and lifecycle requirements.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical interfaces and resolve multidisciplinary technical challenges.
• Experience leading technical experts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English; Finnish is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plant-wide technology leadership throughout the facility lifecycle.
• Leading the development of the overall technical plant concept.
• Setting up and developing a multidisciplinary technical team of internal and external experts.
• Planning, coordinating and guiding technical work across different engineering disciplines.
• Supporting plant technology and vendor evaluation and selection.
• Ensuring consistency between safety, performance, operability, constructability and project requirements.
• Resolving cross-disciplinary technical challenges and design trade-offs.
• Ensuring technical quality during design and implementation.
• Working closely with plant suppliers, authorities, internal stakeholders and external experts.
