Job summary

NW is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Engineer to support Finland-based projects, focusing on the technical monitoring and maintenance of the battery energy storage fleet. You will coordinate with manufacturers and local teams, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation across SCADA platforms.

You will drive improvements through data-driven analysis, plan preventive maintenance with subcontractors, and contribute to digitalization initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Technical background in electrical, automation, or energy engineering.
• Experience in operations, maintenance, or commissioning in renewables, energy storage, or power systems.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with SCADA and remote monitoring tools.
• Fluent in English; Finnish, Swedish and/or French are assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical monitoring and maintenance of the entire BESS fleet.
• Monitor performance using SCADA to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance with manufacturers and local teams.
• Manage corrective maintenance: prioritize, schedule, and investigate faults.
• Plan preventive maintenance with subcontractors and inspection bodies.
• Ensure O&M activities comply with safety, electrical, environmental and market regulations.
• Support system development and digitalization initiatives with internal teams.
