Job summary

HiQ Oy in Helsinki/Espoo is seeking a backend-focused Node.js developer for a long-term finance project. The role is hybrid, with on-site collaboration in Espoo or Helsinki and opportunities to work with a creative, relaxed team.

You will build and maintain backend services in Node.js within a microservices architecture, apply secure development practices, and leverage Azure cloud. The ideal candidate has deep experience in demanding projects and a good understanding of IaC and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in demanding software projects, across multiple technologies, microservices, cloud and security principles.
• 5+ years of Node.js backend development experience.
• Experience in finance projects and understanding of secure software development principles (e.g., OWASP).
• Experience with cloud services, especially Azure.
• Experience with microservice architecture and container solutions.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) and ability to read and support Terraform.
