Fortum Corporation in Espoo is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our Nordic Development Studio. You will help design, develop and maintain tools that support planning and trading operations in a fast-moving energy environment.

We expect 1+ years of full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript and React, plus familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD and secure coding practices. The role offers a flexible hybrid model with three days remote work per week and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience building business-critical applications.
• Proactive and independent developer with strong communication.
• 1+ years of hands-on full-stack experience (frontend focus).
• Knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and React front-end development.
• Basic experience with client-server architectures, backend APIs, and system integration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
