Job summary

Metso is seeking a Senior Manager, Special Logistics to lead the Central Special Logistics region (ECA & AFR) within Services Supply Chain. You will manage a team of six professionals, ensure reliable deliveries, and drive continuous improvement, transformation, and data-driven decision making across global partners.

You will report to the Director, Special Logistics, and be based in Espoo or Tampere, Finland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• Several years of leadership experience within logistics, supply chain, transportation, or delivery operations in an international environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using operational and performance data to drive decisions, process improvements and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations and cultures.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and levels.
• Experience managing complex logistics operations, critical deliveries, and high-impact escalations.
• Experience leading transformation, change management, and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Special Logistics professionals.
• Drive reliable and compliant execution of specialized logistics processes.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical delivery challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and remove barriers.
• Analyze performance, delivery trends, and metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Drive decision making and operational excellence through standardization.
• Lead transformation initiatives and adoption of digital solutions.
• Lead regional improvement initiatives to strengthen performance and capability.
