Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior IT Analyst to join the Accounting team, focusing on quality and testing across the development lifecycle. You will refine requirements, validate data and business logic, and ensure releases meet high standards.

You will partner with developers, analyze complex business processes, and validate end-to-end flows across integrated systems. Strong SQL skills and finance domain experience are required.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in business or functional analysis.
• Translate business intent into specific, structured, and testable requirements.
• Experience in requirements gathering, refinement, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with test case design, defect management, and release validation.
• Practical knowledge of SQL for data investigation and validation.
• Strong communication skills and a structured, ownership-driven approach.
• Experience in finance, banking, insurance, or another regulated, data-heavy domain.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Partner with developers during refinement to shape solutions and validate logic and setup decisions.
• Validate data quality and business logic throughout the development lifecycle.
• Execute end-to-end business flow validations and verify expected outputs across integrated systems.
• Prepare test cases covering not only the happy path, but also corner cases and cross-system impacts.
• Ensure release readiness and provide quality assurance sign-off before deployment.
