Job summary

Nordea Bank Norge ASA is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for the High Risk Change & Development team in Helsinki. The role emphasizes ownership of data solutions from requirements through production, with a focus on data models, pipelines, and robust, scalable implementations.

You will collaborate across teams, stay ahead with AI-assisted development, and contribute to debt management and debt collection data processes in a BizDevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information technology, data engineering or relevant technical field.
• Strong experience in data engineering and data warehousing, building large-scale data solutions.
• Comfortable taking full ownership from requirements to production.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with Oracle databases and DataStage ETL.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow).
• Experience with enterprise API integration.
• Solid engineering practices (git, CI/CD, automated testing).
• A growth mindset and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business domain to effectively understand and build data flows and models supporting data needs and requirements.
• End-to-end ownership of the work from requirement to design, from development to test and release readiness.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in and outside of the team.
• Set a high standard for what you deliver, prioritizing robustness, stability and maintainability.
• Stay current with AI assisted development and adopt AI to increase efficiency, maintainability, and reliability.
