Job summary

GH Engage invites a seasoned HSE Manager to lead and oversee HSE across Hv Sub-station construction projects in Finland. You will mentor HSE Advisors, champion proactive risk management, and drive a strong safety culture from construction through handover.

You will ensure regulatory compliance with Finnish legislation, review RAMS and permits, and support incident investigations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to standardise HSE practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or vocational qualification in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Recognised HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH)
• 10+ years' HSE experience within construction, industrial, or mission-critical environments
• Strong knowledge of Finnish HSE legislation and regulatory standards
• Proven experience supporting or managing HSE teams across multiple concurrent projects

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE governance across multiple Hv Sub-station projects, ensuring consistent application of company policies and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and performance reviews to monitor compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Track HSE KPIs, trends, and leading indicators across the portfolio; prepare monthly and quarterly reports for senior management.
• Act as the primary support and escalation point for project-based HSE Advisors.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance on RAMS, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers to embed HSE best practices across the project lifecycle.
• Lead or oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
• Develop proactive safety programmes to enhance behavioural safety and operational controls.
