Job summary

u-blox is seeking a Senior GNSS/INS Navigation Engineer in Espoo, Finland, to develop and optimize core GNSS and multi-sensor fusion algorithms for embedded positioning products. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, implementing concepts in production-quality C/C++ code and validating performance with automated Python tests.

The role requires 7+ years in GNSS/INS or related technology, strong knowledge of estimation and measurement processing, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience developing GNSS/INS navigation solutions, multi-sensor fusion, or related positioning technologies.
• Strong understanding of GNSS positioning fundamentals, including measurement processing, estimation techniques, and performance analysis.
• Strong software development skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Proficiency with software engineering best practices, version control, CI/CD, and code review processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including debugging, data analysis, validation and testing in simulated and real-world environments (SIL/HIL).
• Fluent in English and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance core GNSS, navigation, and multi-sensor fusion algorithms for embedded positioning products.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle from requirements to implementation, validation, and release.
• Implement algorithm concepts in production-quality software using C/C++.
• Analyse navigation performance and investigate challenging real-world operating scenarios.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Python to ensure product quality and efficient verification.
• Document technical blocks, features, and development activities.
