Futurice Oy is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to lead the development of complex, full-stack digital services. You will guide architectural decisions, mentor teams, and support clients through demos and pre-sales discussions with expertise in AI-augmented workflows.

You will work in a hybrid setup near Finland offices (Helsinki or Tampere). The role requires strong skills in React/Vue, TypeScript, Kotlin, Python or .NET, and hands-on cloud and CI/CD experience.

As an AI capable Senior Full-stack Developer, you are much more than a strong programmer - you're a trusted partner for clients and a pillar for your development team. With experience from multiple complex projects, you bring clarity in uncertainty and deliver real impact through both code and collaboration. You thrive in full-stack environments and are comfortable switching between backend and frontend contexts. You guide design and architectural decisions, help define technical direction, and foster high standards for software quality and maintainability. Your days might include implementing sophisticated features, navigating technical roadblocks, mentoring junior team members, reviewing PRs, or supporting our sales team in pre-sales discussions with your subject matter expertise. Most importantly, you approach each challenge with curiosity, ownership, and care for the people you're building for.

We work in five different service lines in Nordic level. We offer hybrid working mode, but you’ll need to be located near one of our Finland offices (Helsinki or Tampere). Please note, we are currently unable to provide relocation support.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to and lead the development of complex, full-stack digital services across various industries.
• Make informed design and architecture decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Navigate technical and organizational uncertainty, proactively identifying issues and resolving them with resilience and pragmatism.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers — reviewing code, sharing knowledge, and supporting their growth.
• Help define and enforce technical best practices and standards across the team and wider organization.
• Participate in client-facing work, including demos, technical discussions, and roadmap planning.
• Contribute to building sales cases by providing insights into feasibility, architecture, and technology choices.
• Champion usability and accessibility, and build solutions with end users and sustainability in mind.
• Continuously improve your skills and stay up to date with new tools, languages, and frameworks.

Skills and requirements:

• Several years of experience in professional software development, ideally within a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Experience in more than just prompting AI agents. Identify how skills and multi-agent setups can be used to create real business value to our clients. Effectively monitor and observe agent interactions to find potential bottlenecks and fine-tune agentic workflows. Bring in relevant expertise in compounding and setting up adequate guardrails for a project beyond writing code, but to enhance entire processes within a project
• Proficiency in using agentic AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) across the entire lifecycle—from planning and implementation to testing and debugging.
• The ability to coach our teams on Agentic AI, sharing your expertise to help everyone pivot to AI-augmented workflows in their daily work.
• Full-stack coding experience, with the ability to build apps from front to back using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and languages like TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, or .NET.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and setting up CI/CD pipelines to keep deployments running smoothly.
• Experience in system design, including data modeling and APIs, and making smart choices when picking between technical paths.
• A collaborative approach to agile teamwork, ensuring both developers and non-technical stakeholders stay on the same page.
• Experience in writing clean, high-quality code that is well-tested, documented, and easy for others to maintain.
• Mentor your teammates by sharing what you know and helping everyone improve their general technical skills.
• Professional working proficiency in both Finnish and English.

Compensation:

Your complete compensation package will be discussed in detail during the recruitment process. Our salary model is designed to offer a range of levels based on three factors: skills, responsibilities and impact. During the initial interview round, we will discuss the salary range for this position. We offer a fixed salary with the possibility of performance-based bonuses and additional benefits. For this Full-stack Developer role in the Platform & Modernization services team, the on-target compensation varies between 4929-6037€ on a monthly basis depending on the career level.
