Job summary
Normet is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer, Concrete Spraying, to lead process technology development in Iisalmi, Tampere or Espoo. You will drive productivity, quality and competitiveness of the concrete spraying process, overseeing SmartSpray, NorSmart and SmartScan initiatives and collaborating across engineering disciplines.
The role requires a MSc Tech. or BEng, strong English, and a passion for ownership and global collaboration.
Qualifications
- Five+ years experience as a leading engineer in mobile machinery or automation.
- Analytical thinking to develop new technologies in concrete spraying.
- Holistic approach to optimizing the sprayed concrete process.
- Experience in automation and control systems is an advantage.
- Proficient 3D design, preferably with Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong ownership, ambition to develop in the field.
- Experience with modern mobile hydraulic systems is an advantage.
- Experience in 3D scanning/mapping is an advantage.
- Good communication in English; Finnish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead concrete spraying process development and technology.
- Advance SmartSpray, NorSmart and SmartScan projects.
- Oversee automatic process monitoring and VR simulator support.
- Collaborate with automation, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and control systems teams.
