Normet Oy invites a seasoned Chief Engineer, Concrete Spraying to join our R&D team in Iisalmi, Tampere or Espoo, Finland. You will lead process technology development to improve productivity, quality and efficiency in concrete spraying, working with SmartSpray, NorSmart and related systems.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines, manage projects under pressure, and mentor teams while adopting new skills in a global, safety-conscious environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years leading engineer in mobile machinery or automation
• Strong analytical approach to new technologies in concrete spraying
• Experience with 3D-design and Autodesk Inventor preferred

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Chief Engineer, Concrete Spraying with visionary mind-set to join our ambitious R&D team in Iisalmi, Tampere or Espoo, Finland. You will be leading process technology development activities that will improve productivity, competitiveness and quality of the concrete spraying process.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

• Concrete spraying process development
• Concrete spraying technology development
• SmartSpray (automated robotic concrete spraying solution)
• NorSmart (machine control system & software)
• SmartScan (environmental sensing and measuring system)
• Automatic process monitoring
• VR Simulator development (support)

You will be a key member of Normet R&D organization and will work closely with Normet’s concrete spraying development group and vice president of product line, together with Normet’s automation, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and control systems engineering teams.

To shine in this position, we hope you to have:

• At least five years of working experience as a leading engineer in a relevant field (e.g., mobile machinery or automation)
• Analytical thinking to develop new technologies in concrete spraying
• Taking a holistic approach to optimizing the sprayed concrete process
• Experience in automation and control systems is considered an advantage
• At least five years of working experience with 3D-design - preferably Autodesk Inventor system – ability for 3D-concept designing
• Desire to take ownership in your area and ambition to develop and grow in the field
• Experience of modern mobile hydraulic systems/system design is considered as an advantage
• Experience in 3D scanning / mapping technology is considered as an advantage
• Project management skills and ability to handle pressure
• Good communication skills in English, Finnish language is an asset
• Master of Science (Tech.) or Bachelor of Engineering in relevant field
