Job summary

Insta Group Oy seeks an experienced embedded software developer to join our Tampere-based team, building real-world solutions for industrial automation and autonomous systems. The role encompasses multiple layers from GUI and middleware to RTOS and bare-metal, with Linux-based stacks using C++, Qt, and QML.

You’ll work on diverse projects in a human-centric, collaborative culture emphasizing curiosity and long-term impact. Finnish skills are a bonus and willingness to travel modestly is helpful.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in embedded software development.
• Solid understanding of C++, and either Qt / QML or C and real-time systems depending on your focus.
• Proficiency with Linux; experience with Yocto is considered a plus.
• Experience working with different communication protocols and field buses — exact technologies aren’t critical, but a genuine passion for embedded tech and openness to work directly with hardware are
• Experience with other programming languages such as Python or C# is a plus
• A mindset geared toward writing clean, efficient and reliable code

Responsibilities

• Develop networked embedded systems for industrial automation, autonomous systems, and heavy machinery.
• Collaborate on GUI, middleware, RTOS and bare-metal layers depending on focus.
• Contribute across Linux-based platforms using C++, Qt, and QML or C/C++ on embedded Linux.
• Work with hardware teams and potentially on-site engagements.
• Communicate effectively in English; Finnish skills are a bonus.
