Job summary

Sandvik in Tampere seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own and drive test-system development for rock drills. You will design, implement and validate high-power electrical drives and instrumentation in real-world environments.

You will collaborate with an international team, contribute to system validation, and work at the intersection of design, testing and development within Sandvik's Rock Drills Technology Unit.

Qualifications

• Senior electrical engineering professional with experience in industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems and motor drives.
• Hands-on mindset with practical problem solving and implementation focus.
• Experience with commissioning and system validation is important.
• Ability to work in an international environment and communicate in English.
• Familiarity with E3 and Teamcenter is essential.

Responsibilities

• Specification, design and commissioning of a drill test bench system.
• Complete electrical system design including motor drives, control and measurement systems, and layouts.
• Designing systems in accordance with EN60204-1 standards.
• Participation in system testing and validation activities.
• Collaboration within Sandvik’s global organization.
