Job summary

ICEYE Oy in Espoo/Berlin is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and operate the core platform foundations that power ICEYE's products, enabling secure, scalable services across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will work in Platform & Release Engineering to evolve Kubernetes, ingress, service mesh, secrets management, and automation, while mentoring engineers and improving reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles operating production systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster operations, networking, and lifecycle management.
• Solid understanding of AWS fundamentals including networking, IAM, compute, and storage.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform.
• Practical experience with observability, including SLOs, metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python or Go.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and evolve core platform components including Kubernetes, ingress, service mesh, and secrets management.
• Build and maintain reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform across AWS and on-prem environments.
• Define and implement observability standards, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Partner with product teams to guide platform adoption and enable scalable, platform-aligned architectures.
• Automate platform lifecycle processes including provisioning, upgrades, and scaling.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and security through continuous iteration.
• Support and mentor engineers on best practices in Kubernetes, networking, identity, and observability.
• Reduce operational overhead through tooling, automation, and improved platform abstractions.
