Job summary

Nordec Group seeks a Senior Design Engineer to join our Nordic Design Service team in Vaasa or Peräseinäjoki, Finland. You will lead independent design tasks for steel frame projects and ensure efficient, standardized design solutions across multiple projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with factories, sites and stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements and design tools within the frame team to boost competitiveness and profitability.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc degree in engineering or another relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing steel structures.
• Strong CAD design and 3D modelling skills.
• Good Tekla Structures modelling and/or design skills.
• Experience coordinating design work in project environments.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage priorities in a project-driven environment.
• Good communication and cooperation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Language skills in Finnish, Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

Senior Design Engineer
