Job summary

McKinsey & Company’s Orphoz team in Helsinki seeks a senior transformation leader to drive digital, AI, and operational-excellence programs across client organizations, partnering with senior executives to deliver measurable bottom-line impact.

You will coach and align cross-functional teams, establish governance and performance tracking, and help grow the Nordic Delivery group while embedding lasting changes within client operating models.

Qualifications

You will lead and deliver growth transformations including but not limited to: digital‑led business transformations, digital transformations, AI transformations, transformation office, operational excellence, cost savings, corporate strategy, and strategic operations initiatives. You will work deeply across clients’ businesses, partnering closely with senior leadership teams to build the capabilities, systems, governance, and processes required to deliver bottom‑line results and ensure they are sustained. You will lead, coach, and motivate integrated teams of Orphoz colleagues and client leaders to drive execution and measurable impact. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, combining hands‑on transformation experience with strong problem‑solving capabilities to derive insights and translate them into practical, executable solutions. In parallel, you will contribute to the growth of Orphoz by supporting the development of the Delivery group, helping shape our offering, and strengthening our presence in the Nordic market within a stimulating and human working environment. You will be based in Helsinki as part of Orphoz, working in close partnership with clients’ senior leadership and specialist functions. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree completed from a broad range of academic fields, with a strong academic record
• 8+ years of professional experience in transformation‑led environments, including consulting, implementation, operational improvement, or comparable roles, with a strong track record in delivery
• Proven experience leading delivering and executing large‑scale business transformations, including digital and AI initiatives, transformation office, cost saving / cost optimisation, digital transformation, operational excellence, corporate strategy or strategic operations
• Sector experience particularly focused on at least one of the following Financial Services, industrial sector or Telecom, with strong exposure to digital, AI, and automation
• Current or previous consulting experience is highly preferred
• Proven people‑leadership experience, including building and developing high‑performing teams
• Strong ability to operate with flexibility and agility in complex transformation environments
• Proven ability to lead complex large scale workstreams independently, from mobilization through execution to sustained impact, including setting up and running transformation offices with governance, performance tracking, and leadership cadence
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to turn analysis into action
• Functional experience with AI-related solutions (e.g., analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Co-pilot 365, Cursor or similar
• Driven by creating long‑lasting impact and leading teams to deliver results
• Language fluency skills of C1‑level in English and Finnish or another Nordic language are required
