Job summary

Gridle in Helsinki is building the data platform powering Europe’s energy transition. We seek a (Senior) Data Engineer to design, build, and operate systems used for real-time trading and battery optimization.

You’ll work with AWS, Databricks, Python, SQL, Spark, and modern observability tooling to deliver scalable data products and ML-ready data. Join a fast-moving team within Elisa Industriq’s global tech footprint.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
• Strong Python, SQL, Databricks and Apache Spark skills.
• Experience building cloud-native data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Experience designing data models and pipelines; batch and streaming.
• Familiar with IaC and CI/CD; data schema management and evolution.
• Proficient in English with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reliable, scalable data pipelines.
• Build integrations to market platforms, telemetry systems, and data sources.
• Develop data products for forecasting, optimization, analytics, and ML.
• Improve reliability, observability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Own critical components as the platform scales across markets.
