Job summary

Advian is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement data platforms for energy and manufacturing customers. You will work across the full data lifecycle from ingestion and modelling to pipelines and production-ready cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with AWS/Azure, data modelling, IoT and streaming data, and independent decision-making. Fluency in English is required; Finnish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on data engineering experience with AWS and/or Azure - expertise in one is enough, while experience with both is a definite advantage
• Solid skills in Python and PostgreSQL
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data modelling and database design
• Experience working with IoT and/or streaming data
• The ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions and take ownership of your work
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing data solutions on AWS and/or Azure
• Designing and building data models and databases
• Working with IoT, streaming and other operational data sources
• Designing and implementing data pipelines
• Building reliable, scalable and maintainable data solutions
• Making technical and architectural decisions together with customers and other experts
• Depending on your background and interests, you may also work with API development and different modern data platforms and technologies
