Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Civil, Construction & BIM Engineer to coordinate civil, structural, construction and BIM activities across FACTS tenders and projects in Tampere, Finland. You will develop standard engineering solutions, reference layouts, BIM models and foundation concepts for STATCOM and SVC technologies.

You will lead work packages, liaise with multidisciplinary teams, and drive cost-conscious, practical designs that are suitable for project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with relevant experience in substations or power infrastructure.
• Practical experience in foundations, structural steel and site infrastructure.
• Experience in BIM-based civil/structural engineering with modelling tools such as Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil, structural, construction and BIM engineering activities for FACTS projects and tenders, including design criteria and reference layouts.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables, interfaces and design inputs across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Support tenders with preliminary layouts, quantities and cost/constructability risk analysis.
• Apply FACTS reference solutions, standard designs and BIM content while capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Review and optimize civil/structural solutions for quality, cost awareness and constructability.
