Job summary

Syneos Health seeks a Principal Statistician for Early Phase, fully remote across Europe. You will lead statistical strategy, develop SAPs, and oversee biostatistics teams from protocol through CSR. Strong leadership, crisis management, and regulatory-facing communication are essential.

The role emphasizes cross-project leadership, advanced statistical methods, and collaboration with sponsors to shape trial designs and outcomes.

Qualifications

Master's degree in biostatistics or related discipline required.
PhD/MS in statistics or related discipline highly valued.
Experience leading multiple projects in clinical trials is essential.
Proficiency in R programming and SAS for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Leads the development and execution of a clinical development plan, including defining Go/No Go framework.
Uses simulations and statistical strategy to inform and influence trial design decisions.
Mentors biostatisticians and develops training plans/materials for Biostatistics staff.
Directs activities of biostatistics personnel on projects to ensure timely, high-quality work.
Provides support across all statistical tasks during the lifecycle of the project, from protocol to CSR.
Prepares SAPs and collaborates with sponsor as required.
May lead the statistical aspects of protocols and generate randomization schedules.
Creates or reviews programming specs for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
Reviews CRFs, database design, and study documents to ensure data capture meets criteria.
