Job summary

Genevia Technologies is seeking a Senior Bioinformatician to lead omics projects. The role offers remote work within an European timezone or onsite at our Tampere, Finland headquarters.

You will design and implement advanced analysis workflows, perform analyses, and present results to clients. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in bioinformatics or related field, has post-doctoral experience, and excels in Bash/Python/R within an HPC framework, with strong English communication and a track record

Qualifications

• Post-doctoral research experience with publications.
• Familiarity with omics data types.
• Proficiency in Bash / R / Python within an HPC environment.
• Strong biology background in cancer biology, immunology, genetics or neuroscience.
• Experience collaborating with experimental scientists and co-authoring omics papers.
• Willingness to learn biology and new technologies.
• Proficiency in science communication.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.

• Planning data analysis workflows with our customers.
• Performing the planned analyses.
• Presenting the results to customers and assisting interpretation.
• Collaborating with our customers to prepare academic publications.
