Job summary

Jobtailor in Helsinki is seeking a senior avionics systems engineer to define the overall avionics architecture for satellite platforms, and to maintain models and diagrams throughout the project lifecycle.

You will design grounding and bonding architectures, develop electrical circuit diagrams and interfaces, participate in subsystem interfaces, manage component supply chains, and communicate with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in avionics systems engineering within the GEO space industry.
• Experience across the full lifecycle of avionics subsystems.
• High-level system design of avionics subsystems.
• Ability to analyse data, derive conclusions, and manage design documentation.
• Ability to review and approve design changes.
• Comfortable working with external vendors and consortium partners.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall avionics architecture of satellite platforms and maintain models and diagrams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design the grounding and bonding architecture of spacecraft.
• Design and maintain electrical circuit diagrams and respective interfaces.
• Participate in interface definitions between subsystems.
• Participate in supply chain definition for batteries, power distribution units, and similar components.
• Prepare reports and presentations about the avionics subsystem.
• Conduct functional testing and qualification of avionics components.
• Develop high-level avionics systems designs for a new project.
• Support other projects across the company.
• Communicate with internal teams, external vendors, and consortium partners.
