Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the avionics hardware design for satellite systems. You will own end-to-end subsystems, drive technical direction, and mentor peers while ensuring robust mixed-signal performance from concept to orbit.

You will collaborate across electronics, systems, and manufacturing, performing hands-on lab bring-up, testing, and qualification in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electronics engineering experience in fast-paced or mission-critical environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional hardware development projects.
• Strong board-level design skills: schematics, PCB layout, simulation, bring-up, validation.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory measurements and test equipment.
• Data-driven problem solving for board and system issues.
• Ability to influence architecture and trade-offs.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to mentor teammates and raise engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and qualification of high-reliability mixed-signal electronics for satellite systems.
• Own electronic subsystems end-to-end from concept through testing and in-orbit support.
• Drive technical direction and best practices across avionics and hardware teams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts across electronics, systems, and manufacturing.
• Perform hands-on lab work including bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and validation.
• Use data and testing insights to guide design trade-offs and improve system performance.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the organization.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ICEYE’s electronics platform and strategy.
