Job summary

ReOrbit is recruiting a Senior AIT Technician – Harness & MLI to join our spacecraft production team in Helsinki. You will manufacture, assemble, verify and repair spacecraft harnesses and MLI, owning work packages and ensuring traceability and quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical harness manufacturing and testing, MLI fabrication, and adherence to ECSS/NASA standards. You will collaborate with AIT, engineering and production teams to enable seamless spacecraft

Qualifications

• 8+ years in satellite AIT, aerospace manufacturing or cleanroom assembly.
• Hands-on experience manufacturing and testing electrical harnesses.
• Experience with MLI blanket fabrication.
• Strong practical skills in crimping, soldering and harness routing.
• Knowledge of electrical verification techniques (continuity, insulation, short‑circuit).
• Experience with drawings, manufacturing instructions and build documentation.
• Understanding of cleanroom, contamination control and ESD requirements.
• Ability to work independently with precision and strong attention to detail.
• Strong discipline in workmanship, cleanliness and documentation.
• Able to share knowledge and support less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and repair spacecraft harnesses, including crimping, soldering, shielding and routing.
• Perform electrical verification activities: continuity, insulation and short-circuit tests.
• Fabricate MLI blankets: cutting, layering, sewing and final assembly.
• Perform MLI and harness rework for non-conforming hardware.
• Follow ECSS and NASA workmanship standards and internal SOPs.
• Record manufacturing steps, inspections and test results with full traceability.
• Maintain cleanroom, contamination control and ESD compliance.
• Support spacecraft integration and installation activities.
• Own assigned work packages and deliver to quality and schedule.
• Identify defects early and contribute to resolution.
