Why this role matters:

The Harness Manufacturing Technician role is critical to the success of both our ground testing infrastructure and next-generation satellites. By manufacturing high-quality harnesses and evaluating the manufacturability of new cable designs, this role helps ensure reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the product development cycle. Cables are the vital interfaces that connect every subsystem, enabling communication, power distribution, and seamless operation across the satellite. As the threads that bring complex systems to life, every harness built contributes directly to mission success.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Harness manufacturing for testing setups or satellites
• Evaluate manufacturability of harness designs and provide feedback to designers
• Assemble and install wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for satellite systems according to drawings and work instructions.
• Handle wires, connectors, shielding, and protective coverings with precision and care.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, traveler sheets, and quality records.
• Assist in troubleshooting and rework of harness assemblies under supervision.
• Perform inspections, continuity checks, and basic electrical tests on harness assemblies.
• Train new joiners and colleagues in harness manufacturing
• Follow cleanroom and ESD handling procedures.
• Apply workmanship and quality standards (especially IPC/WHMA-A-620).

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• Bachelor degree
• +2 years hands‑on manufacturing experience with electronics assembling and harnesses manufacturing
• Experience in soldering
• Familiarity with crimping, soldering, wire stripping, lacing, and connector assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring tables, and work instructions.
• Basic knowledge of workmanship standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620
• Fluency in English
• A positive attitude and a desire to learn new things

Nice to haves:

• Previous experience in space, aerospace, or defense harness assembly.
• Familiarity with coaxial or shielded cable assembly.
• Exposure to harness testing tools (continuity testers, pull test machines).
• Experience in Jira Software
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (CIS or CIT).
