Aiven is building an AI-native, open-source data platform with data governance and discovery capabilities. The Senior Software Engineer role invites you to own significant backend to frontend features in Python and React, shaping architecture and technical direction.

You will lead design and delivery of managed OSS products like DataHub, mentor peers, and push for AI-first workflows across the platform, collaborating across teams globally. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solving complex problems with ambiguous requirements.
• Strong Python programming with ability to adapt to new tech.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript; UI sensibility.

Responsibilities

• Own the stack from backend to console across Python and React.
• Shape technical direction on open-ended problems and define patterns.
• Lead the design and delivery of new managed OSS like DataHub on Aiven.
