Job summary

Orexnova in Helsinki is seeking a software engineer to design and ship production LLM systems for Nordic enterprise customers. You will own agent pipelines end-to-end — retrieval, evaluation, tool-use and observability.

The role focuses on architecture for retrieval-augmented systems across banking, insurance and public-sector clients, with mentoring of a small team and a strong emphasis on production outcomes over benchmarks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.
• 2+ years directly with LLMs.
• Strong Python and TypeScript skills; comfortable with FastAPI, Node, React.

Responsibilities

• Architect retrieval-augmented and agentic systems for Nordic clients.
• Build evaluation harnesses that gate model upgrades in CI.
• Partner with platform engineers on latency, cost, and safety budgets.
• Mentor two to three engineers and set the technical bar for the practice.
