Job summary

Valmet Automotive Oyj is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own a broad accounting and reporting role in an international environment. You will ensure high-quality accounting and statutory reporting while helping to improve finance processes and ways of working.

Based in Finland with a focus on Uusikaupunki, you will work with a small Finance team handling general ledger, closings, tax reporting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS).
• Good knowledge of taxation, VAT and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English.
• Knowledge of IFRS and group finance processes is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• General ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Monthly and year-end financial closings and financial statement preparation (FAS).
• Participate in IFRS reporting to support group reporting requirements.
• Fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting.
• VAT, taxation, statutory and authority reporting.
• Develop accounting, reporting and internal control processes and maintain related documentation.
