Job summary

Valmet Automotive Oyj is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own a broad accounting and reporting role in an international environment. You will ensure high-quality accounting and statutory reporting while helping to improve finance processes and ways of working.

Based in Finland with a focus on Uusikaupunki, you will work with a small Finance team handling general ledger, closings, tax reporting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS).
• Good knowledge of taxation, VAT and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English.
• Knowledge of IFRS and group finance processes is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• General ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Monthly and year-end financial closings and financial statement preparation (FAS).
• Participate in IFRS reporting to support group reporting requirements.
• Fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting.

Are you an experienced accounting professional with solid expertise in financial accounting and a mindset for continuous improvement?

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Valmet Automotive's Finance team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad accounting and reporting role in an international environment. You will have a key role in ensuring reliable financial information while helping us improve finance processes and ways of working.

You will be part of a collaborative Finance team where responsibilities span financial accounting, tax reporting, finance processes, and reporting activities. The role gives you the opportunity to broaden your expertise, understand finance activities across the organization, and expand your responsibilities over time.

Your role
In this position, your primary focus will be on ensuring high-quality accounting and statutory reporting for Valmet Automotive Oyj.

Your responsibilities will include:

• General ledger accounting and account reconciliations

Location & Work Flexibility:
