Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland seeks an RF Engineer to support the performance and reliability of radar payloads, enabling high-quality Earth observation from space. The role focuses on maintaining RF hardware and evolving circuits for X-band systems, with hands-on lab work and cross-team collaboration.

You'll design, simulate, and validate RF circuits, run measurements, review schematics, and contribute to verification activities across the payload lifecycle within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of RF engineering experience focused on practical product development.
• Hands-on experience with RF measurements and troubleshooting in lab environments.
• Experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium) and RF layout best practices.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS) and 3D EM tools (HFSS/CST).
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals: linearity, noise figure, phase noise, filtering.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance, updates, and continuous improvement of RF hardware systems.
• Assist in design, simulation, and validation of RF circuits for X-band and above.
• Perform hands-on lab work including testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, and tuning with RF test equipment.
• Run EM and circuit simulations and correlate results with measurements.
• Create, review, and update schematics and PCB layouts with RF-critical design considerations.
• Support verification activities including test plans, procedures, and validation of prototypes.
• Maintain and produce technical documentation for hardware updates and processes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams across the payload development lifecycle.
