Job summary

VTT in Espoo is seeking a Research Scientist/Engineer to join the Integrated Circuits team. You will design advanced test setups for array-based sensors, plan characterization of fabricated chips, and document verification procedures.

Collaboration with internal experts and external partners is essential to drive high-performance, low-energy sensor systems. Ideal candidates have a BSc (preferably MSc) in electronics and 3+ years of hands-on experience with automated test systems, MCU

We are looking foranambitious and results-oriented researcher with a strong background indesign of test setups and conducting measurementsto join our Integrated Circuitsteam, in Espoo.

As aResearchScientist/Engineer, you will have a key role inverification through measurementsofarraysensorsystemsincludingcontrol, readout,andintelligentsignal processing with a focus on high performance and low energy consumption. Youidentifyand solve problems independently and creatively while working closely and flexibly with a team of experts. Ideally, youcouldconduct the design from the concept to implementation andconductingthe measurements.

Your responsibilities as aResearch Scientist/Engineer:

• Designingand building test setups for array-based sensors
• Plan and conduct characterization of the fabricated chips
• Documentation of setups, verification procedures,and test measurements
• Collaboration with other experts at VTT as well as with external partners
• Active contribution toprojectplanning,preparation,andimplementation

We are looking for a person with:

• At least BSc and preferably MScin electronics
• At least3years of hands-on experienceindesigningautomated test setupsand in conductingverificationmeasurementsof integrated circuits
• Experience in design of sensor readout/control/signalprocessing
• Experience in MCU programming, including low-level control
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Experience in project planning, acquisition, and managementis a plus
• Experiencein IC designisconsidereda plus
