Job summary

VTT is seeking a Research Scientist for 2D-material integrated photonics development. The role focuses on characterization, development, and fabrication of active 2D-material components such as high-speed modulators, with collaboration across academia and industry.

The candidate should have a MSc or PhD in physics, electronics or closely related field, and experience in semiconductor photonics or electronics with cleanroom fabrication. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in physics, electronics, or closely related field.
• Experience in semiconductor physics, photonics or electronics.
• Experience in cleanroom fabrication of nanoscale devices.
• Excellent communications skills in English are required.

Responsibilities

• Research and development of integrated 2D-material based modulators.
