Job summary

University of Jyväskylä seeks a Research Funding Advisor for a fixed-term period (12.10.2026–31.8.2027) within Research and Innovation Services (RIS). The advisor will help researchers apply for external funding, mainly from the Academy of Finland and SRC, and will train researchers on funding opportunities.

The role requires strong communication in English (and Finnish), and experience in higher education or research funding.

Qualifications

• Experience working at a higher education institution or research organisation.
• Experience preparing funding applications for the Academy of Finland.
• Experience evaluating funding applications and advising applicants.

Responsibilities

• Support researchers in applying for research and innovation funding.
• Identify funding sources and relevant networks.
• Interpret funders’ requirements and provide feedback on applications.
• Follow funding opportunities and train researchers on them.
