Job summary

Fortum Corporation is seeking an Investment Analyst in Espoo or Solna to support wind, solar and energy storage investments and partnerships. The role sits between Renewables and Industrial Partnerships, focusing on financial modelling, investment analysis and business development across both areas.

You will work on market and project evaluations, collaborate with teams, and contribute to value creation through robust analysis. Fluency in English is required; Finnish/Swedish are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in investment analysis, corporate finance or related fields; recent graduates considered.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel; ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Fluency in English; Finnish/Swedish a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and develop financial models for wind, solar and energy storage projects.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and prepare business case materials.
• Support project teams with financial and commercial analysis.
• Assess project profitability under different market and regulatory scenarios.
• Conduct market analysis on electricity markets and renewable developments.
• Identify opportunities to improve project economics and portfolio value.
• Support negotiations with customers and partners.
• Collaborate with Renewables and Industrial Partnerships teams to develop opportunities.
