Job summary

Nordhealth, a remote-first company headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team. You will help keep the cloud-based platform reliable, secure and easy to ship to, collaborating with software engineers and product teams.

The role requires 4+ years running production systems in a SaaS environment, strong Linux, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Go/Python/Bash coding. You will participate in 24/7 on-call and help define SLOs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years running production systems for a SaaS product, in an SRE, platform or DevOps role.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals: DNS, TLS, HTTP and load balancing.
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar) on a major cloud provider.
• Containers and orchestration (Docker plus Kubernetes, ECS or similar).
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar).
• Observability tooling (Prometheus and Grafana, Datadog or similar) and SLO-based alerting.
• Real on‑call experience: you've handled incidents, written postmortems and followed through on the fixes.
• You're comfortable coding in Go, Python or Bash, and can find your way around application code.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, and you work well remotely and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments: networking, infrastructure as code, containers and cost.
• Improve deployment pipelines and automation, including feature flags and progressive delivery: faster builds, safer deploys, quick rollbacks.
• Apply the team's monitoring standards across logs, metrics and traces, so problems are found before customers report them.
• Define SLOs for key user journeys and set up alerting that pages for urgent risks, such as a disk filling up or a certificate about to expire, and stays quiet otherwise.
