Job summary

CSC is seeking a Linux System Administrator to maintain and develop our Linux-based infrastructure for sensitive data management projects. You will support services for research and health data, collaborating with biobanks and research institutes in Finland while enabling secure processing and sharing of data.

You will work with development and infrastructure teams, automate routine tasks, and maintain thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Solid experience administering Linux systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, and firewall concepts.
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and Kubernetes operations.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day administration of Linux servers and services in production environments.
• Monitor system health, performance and capacity; troubleshoot OS, app and network issues.
• Manage users, permissions, storage and system updates; participate in incident resolution.
