Job summary

Leap29 in Helsinki is seeking an Advanced Commissioning Engineer to lead the setup, integration, and fine tuning of complex building automation systems for high specification infrastructure projects.

You will program Siemens PXC ABT and Desigo CC platforms, configure fieldbus protocols, and perform advanced troubleshooting. Collaboration with site engineers and project managers will drive milestone testing and smooth handover.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in automation engineering, software programming, and system commissioning.
• Practical experience with Siemens PXC ABT tools, Desigo CC, or equivalent major BMS platforms.
• Strong understanding of control logic, program structures, and fieldbus networking.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in high availability environments.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Role Overview

We are seeking an Advanced Commissioning Engineer to lead the setup, integration, and fine tuning of complex building automation systems for high specification infrastructure projects in Helsinki. In this role, you will apply your programming expertise and system logic to bring critical facility automation live.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, test, and commission building management systems using Siemens PXC (ABT) and Desigo CC platforms.
• Configure and debug fieldbus communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and system level debugging on automation software and hardware.
• Collaborate with site engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to complete milestone testing and handover.
• Prepare and maintain clear commissioning documentation and test reports.

Key Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in automation engineering, software programming, and system commissioning.
• Practical experience with Siemens PXC ABT tools, Desigo CC, or equivalent major BMS platforms.
• Strong understanding of control logic, program structures, and fieldbus networking.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in high availability environments.

• Location: Based in Helsinki or willing to relocate independently (no rotation or relocation assistance). Data centre experience is preferred but not required.
